See A Doctor!
We really need to get on this! You can not declare yourself healthy if you haven't seen a physician in 5 to 10 years. Hello???? Everyone need to see at least a primary physician once or twice a year. I don't care how many times you go to the gym or how healthy you say you eat. That doesn't mean your, ha, left artery is not 98% clogged. You can't possibly know what's going on, on the inside of your body if you aren't examined and blood tests are not done yearly. It's not fair to your family if you cut your life short because you are not doing everything you can to make sure your healthy. I'm sure we want to live as long as we can, or most people anyway. Let's start asking friends and family members when was the last time they had a check up, especially the men in our lives, fathers, brothers, uncles, husbands and cousins. And oh yeah, "I feel fine," is not an acceptable answer. YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS?!

I agree...African American men are infamous about not going to the doctor. They do not make the time & often miss appointments. Please urge the men in your life to go so they do not hear "if only we caught this earlier."
ReplyDeleteI think every man wants to go to the doctor by life gets in the way (not to be used as an excuse just stating a fact). It would be much easier if you could find a doctor with Saturday hours or one that took appointments past 3pm. I do hear your alarm and will try to do better in the future.
ReplyDelete@ Hue! Soory I'm so late on commenting... but should I start looking for a new husband for my soror? When was the last time you went to the doctor? Please expect a phone call by the weekend. I bet if if were a football game during the week, somehow you would figure it out! Whoa!
